Selecting The Right Grass Seed

If you are searching for a way to improve the outside appearance of your home, the most cost effective and quickest way is to plant grass seed. Your lawn is the first feature of your home that passerby's and visitor's notice. Having a full, rich, green lawn will make your home much more appealing and improve the overall looks of your dwelling.

There are additional benefits to planting grass seed. If you have a lawn full of green grass, the chance of tracking sand and dirt into your home is greatly reduced. For example, Kentucky Blue Grass grows well with less moisture and a colder climate. You will notice that this type of grass grows mostly in the upper portion of the country where the rainfall is less and the colder temperatures are abundant. The fullness of Kentucky Blue Grass along with the bluish tint of the blades themselves make this type of grass unmistakeable.  Canada green grass seed which is a much vaunted grass seed contains Kentucky Blue Grass seed amongst others.

On the other hand, Bahalia Grass does well in much warmer climates with a fair amount of moisture. This is the reason why you will often find Bahalia Grass growing in various areas of a tropical climate such as Florida. This kind of seed is much like the Kentucky Blue Grass type. It is a very full grass that seems to over-lap itself the more it grows. The almost neon color of green that the grass takes on makes any lawn stand-out in the neighborhood.

The two types of grass seed that was just explained are only examples of the various kinds of grass seed available. Base most of your decision on a type of seed that is native to your climate. This is not an article on how to plant grass seed, but hopefully you have found it informative.  You won't want to be planting grass seed that doesn't grow well or will die at the first sign of change in water, temperature, sunshine or anything else.
